Department of Aquaculture Welcomes Visit of the Delegation from Mindanao State University, Philippines

Semarang — Department of Aquaculture welcomed an official visit from the President and a delegation of Deans from various faculties of Mindanao State University (MSU), Philippines, on Wednesday, 20 January 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen international cooperation and conduct benchmarking in higher education management.

As part of the visit, the MSU delegation engaged in discussions with the UNDIP Rectorate, Deans of faculties, and the UNDIP International Office. The discussions focused on curriculum quality assurance systems, educational management, opportunities for academic collaboration, joint research, and community service programs. The meeting was conducted in a constructive and productive manner, reflecting the commitment of both institutions to enhancing the quality of higher education.

The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) UNDIP actively participated in the program, represented by the Dean of FPIK, Prof. Agus Trianto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., and the Head of the International Affairs Office of FPIK, Seto Windarto, S.Pi., M.Sc., M.P. On this occasion, FPIK presented its potential and opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and community engagement within the fields of fisheries and marine sciences.

The visit continued with a delegation tour to the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNDIP, represented by Dr. Ma-ann M. Camarin (Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences) and Dr. Henry P. Aringa (Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics). The delegation was welcomed by the FPIK Deanery and management teams from each department. During the session, each department presented its academic profile, areas of excellence, and potential collaboration opportunities with MSU.

The agenda was followed by a visit to various laboratories and supporting facilities at FPIK UNDIP. During this session, the Head of the International Affairs Office of FPIK, Seto Windarto, served as the guide and provided detailed explanations regarding laboratory functions, academic activities, research facilities, and other supporting infrastructure. The MSU delegation showed great enthusiasm throughout the visit and expressed their appreciation for the facilities and academic environment at FPIK UNDIP.

Through this visit, Universitas Diponegoro hopes to strengthen institutional relations with Mindanao State University and to expand sustainable collaboration in education, research, and community service at the international level.
