Semarang – On Friday, 24 April 2026, representatives from the Asian Fish Welfare Network (AFWN), namely Prof. David Little, Dr. Simão Zacarias, and Dr. Tanya Kay, conducted field visits to fish farming sites and fish markets in Semarang City. This activity was part of their visit to FPIK Undip, which began with a meeting to initiate collaboration and a public lecture for students on the previous day.

During the visits, the AFWN team showed great interest in the various aquaculture practices observed in the field. A series of questions, discussions, and interactions took place with fish farmers at Keboen Ndalem Mina Farm, pond technicians at Minapolitan, and fish sellers at Rejomulyo Market and Surtikanti Market. These activities were conducted to support their ongoing project, which aims to promote fish welfare practices in Indonesia.
