Semarang — As part of the Asian Fish Welfare Network (AFWN) team’s visit to FPIK Undip, a public lecture entitled “Fish Welfare in Aquaculture Education” was held for FPIK students. The lecture took place on Thursday, 23 April 2026, and was delivered by Prof. Dave Little and Dr. Simão Zacarias.
Nearly 200 students attended the public lecture, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from various study programs within FPIK.
The students’ enthusiasm was reflected in the numerous questions addressed to the speakers. Even after the event had officially ended, many students continued to approach the speakers to ask further questions, which were patiently answered. This demonstrated the students’ strong interest in fish welfare as a new and emerging topic for them.
